The four coin 'Royal Ladies' set was issued in 1992 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the throne. It also more generally celebrated the efforts of the four prominent women in the Royal Family at the time - the Queen Mother, Princess Anne, Princess Margaret, and Lady Diana. The set was issued as a silver twenty-five dollar set and an extremely exclusive gold two-hundred and fifty dollar set. One gold twenty-five dollar pattern of the Princess Diana coin is known to exist.
